Are you ready to kick the habit? As an ex-smoker myself, I know that it can be a daunting prospect! Do you feel like you have two minds? One that says stop but another that keeps trying to persuade you to have a cigarette? I know I did.
This one-off, double length session explains why you have conflicting messages coming from your brain and how you can work to control them. We spend a lot of time talking through why you smoke, what you do and don’t like about it, as well as highlighting the damage this habit causes to both your physical and mental health.
We then have a trance session to reinforce what’s been said and I will give you a relaxation CD or download link for you to take with you. I can also supply you with a personalised anti-smoking CD on request. There is an additional charge for this service.
There are a number of research papers which report a higher success rate for those smokers using hypnosis to stop smoking than those who quit on their own, for example:
Hypnosis Most Effective Says Largest Study Ever: 3 Times as Effective as Patch and 15 Times as Effective as Willpower.
Hypnosis is the most effective way of giving up smoking, according to the largest ever scientific comparison of ways of breaking the habit. A meta-analysis, statistically combining results of more than 600 studies of 72,000 people from America and Europe to compare various methods of quitting. On average, hypnosis was over three times as effective as nicotine replacement methods and 15 times as effective as trying to quit alone.[University of Iowa, Journal of Applied Psychology, How One in Five Give Up Smoking. October 1992]
Hypnosis Patients Twice As Likely To Remain Smoke-Free After Two Years
Study of 71 smokers showed that after a two-year follow up, patients that quit with hypnosis were twice as likely to remain smoke-free than those who quit on their own.[Guided health imagery for smoking cessation and long-term abstinence.
